Report – How a local supplement store used Facebook ads to turn $300 into $6,634.

Disclaimer – This is not a get rich quick or clickbait scenario, this is just one example of the type of ads we run for local supplement stores. There is no guarantee of anything in marketing especially how much return you will get if you implement the following formula into your own advertising. However, we have used this formula in multiple supplement stores across the nation with very similar results.

Data overview:

Store type: Brick and Mortar / Local Supplement Store
City Population Size: 92k
Median Income: 49k
Total Adspend: $300
Total products sold: 228
Total Profit: $6,634.08
Total time: 1 month

The Product:

1st Phorm Opti-Greens 50 (We have duplicated similar results with other Greens products)

Why Greens are good product to push: It attracts the general “health and wellness” crowd as well as the dedicated fitness buffs. It also appeals to both men and women with health issues who would not normally visit a supplement store.

The Setup:

        The Ad:
We ran split tests for four ads to determine what would preform the best and the following two ads had the best stats:

The first was a “store visits” objective with 3 testimonials to start the ad copy followed by the benefits of the product, no bloating, clear skin, etc…

The second ad was an amazing video our client produced. We ran the ad as a boosted post through ads manager with a post engagement objective. The ad copy was short and to the point with just a list of the product benefits combined with emojis.

The Targeting
We targeted two lookalike audiences based off of the engagement of the client’s Facebook and Instagram pages. He had already established good sized following of around 10k which makes the lookalike audiences work well.

Here’s a screenshot of the targeting. Since this is a smaller town, we expanded the radius to be 20 miles from the stores location.

The Results:

Total profit return reported was $6,635.08! This number is a combined total from ads and organic posts made by the client.
