Change is a constant part of our lives and that includes our website as well. We know that we should always be updating our website with the ever-evolving trends in the world. That’s not the only kind of website change we can make. We can also change the people who help run our websites. This can lead to new experts and eyes, looking at our websites. Which in return, make our websites preform better.
In this tutorial, we are going to show you how to change the primary jetpack user of your site. Check to see who is the primary user by clicking on the User tab toward the bottom of the menu. The primary user is the user who has the green Jetpack icon next to their information. This person is in change of the security options, through the Jetpack plugin, for the website.
Getting Started
The first thing you are going to do to change the primary user, is to go to the WordPress website you have linked to your account. Here you will go to settings and scroll to the bottom and click on ‘Manage Your Connection’. Then, click on ‘Disconnect from WordPress’ and this disconnects the site.
Once you have disconnected, you can refresh the user page and find that the green icon has disappeared. Next, log into the account you want make the primary user. Click on the jetpack plugin tab and it will have you reconnect Jetpack.
